1. About these Terms

These Terms govern your use of Preon, a private messenger, and the service behind it. By creating an account or using Preon, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Preon.

2. Who can use Preon

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age set by the law of your country if that is higher. By using Preon, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are allowed to use the service under the laws that apply to you.

3. Your account

You create an account with your email address and a password, and you receive a public Preon number. You are responsible for:

• keeping your password and your recovery key safe — we cannot restore your messages without the recovery key;
• the activity on your account; and
• giving us an email address you control.

Tell us at support@preon.im if you believe someone else has access to your account.

4. No tolerance for abuse

Preon has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not use Preon to:

• harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone;
• send hateful content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics;
• send sexual content without the recipient's consent, or any sexual content involving minors;
• promote or incite violence, terrorism or self-harm;
• send spam or unwanted bulk messages, or create accounts automatically;
• scam, defraud or phish people, or impersonate anyone;
• share other people's private information without their permission;
• send malware or attack, overload, probe or circumvent the security of the service; or
• do anything illegal, or help others do so.

These rules also apply to your display name, profile photo and contact requests.

5. Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can block anyone: they will no longer be able to message you, send you requests or see your online status and profile photo.

You can report a person from their profile, from a contact request, or by selecting their messages in a chat. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we see message content only when you include it in a report; the Privacy Policy explains what a report discloses.

We review reports and act on them, usually within 24 hours. If we find that someone broke these Terms, we may remove their access to Preon by suspending their account, without notice. A suspended account cannot sign in. If you believe your account was suspended by mistake, write to support@preon.im.

6. Your content

You are responsible for the messages, files, profile information and photos you share. You keep all rights to them. You give us only the permission we need to run Preon: to store and deliver your encrypted messages and files, and to store and show your profile information and profile photo as the app describes.

Do not share content you do not have the right to share.

7. The Preon app

If you downloaded Preon from the App Store, your license to use the app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these Terms govern the service. Apple is not responsible for Preon or its service and has no obligation to provide support for it.

You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it, and you must not access the service other than through the app.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Preon available and secure, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". The service may be interrupted, and features may change or be removed. We may update these Terms; the date of the latest update is shown at the top, and we may tell you about important changes in the app. If you keep using Preon after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Preon and delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; the Privacy Policy explains what remains.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other people or the service.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Preon is provided without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data or messages, or for the content other people send you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
